Meet Augustine

We were finally able to bring home my (and Becca's) sweet kitten! His name is Augustine (Gus for short - you know, like Gus Gus, the cute mouse from Cinderella?). One of my nursing friends works at a Refugee Center and had a family from Burma find a box of 4 kittens in a near-by dumpster! Can you believe that??! Anywho... Gus and his siblings were malnourished and sickly. My friend took them to the vet and was able to nurse them all back to health and he is officially in his new home! I am excited to see what is in store for us!

Bird of a Feather

Everyone knows the popular phrase, "Birds of a feather flock together". In nature, birds of a single species do in fact frequently form a flock. And in human life, those with similar tastes and interests congregate in groups. I consider myself a kind of endangered flamingo (think unique and slightly awkward) so "bird", singular, fits me perfectly. I am friends with other birds. And we can flock. But I'm just a free spirit that loves everyone, no matter how much you may try to convince me otherwise. Is that naive of me? Maybe. But who really cares what I think ;)

Caution: n00b !

I think this will be fun. Although I am probably too busy to be keeping up a blog right now I am an expert at distraction and have complete confidence in myself. I am in school to be a nurse and am graduating in December. Basically, I'm saving lives by day and dreaming up a fabulous closet (that I have yet to compile) by night. I'm still getting a hang of the blogging thing but have grown a new love (that is still in its fetal stages) for fashion. I will explain why I chose "Bird of a Feather" lata. Like I said, I am a really busy (lazy, ha-ha) girl these days. Peace, love and blogging.
